Program/Class Schedule

SBLC’s Adult Basic Education (ABE), Pre-GED, and GED™ Preparation Classes are offered year-round. Each academic session is 8-12 weeks long and includes a variety of class times and schedules to accommodate the scheduling needs of our learners. Classes meet between 1-3 times each week and are typically offered in the morning from 9:00-12:00 pm, in the evening from 5:30-8:30 pm, and on Saturdays from 9:00-3:00 pm.

Admission into the National External Diploma Program is available on a rolling basis throughout the year. Participants in this program meet with an SBLC Advisor/Assessor weekly and commit 10-15 hours each week to work independently on web-based assignments.

We're hiring! We are on the search for a motivated individual who is passionate about education, inspired by SBLC’s mission, and committed to Baltimore’s future and success to serve as our next College and Career Transition Specialist.

The role of the Transition Specialist is to work with all adult learners at SBLC to prepare them for post-secondary opportunities. This person will broker or provide college and/or career pathway planning support, coordinate work exposure activities, and facilitate co-enrollment options with local workforce sector-based training programs.
