Theme for Winter 2016 – Women’s History

Page-1-Image-1

The theme for Winter, 2016 semester is Women’s History. As an activity for this theme we invited Ms. Ardenia Myrick, CSO of The Myrick Success Group, LLC, to speak with our learners. Ms. Myrick is a motivational speaker who lectures to groups and individuals on methods to achieve personal success. Our learners were given methods of succeeding such as getting rid of your fears, leaving negative friends behind, and knowing that you are not responsible for the problems and “emergencies” of others.

Ms. Myrick engaged the learners in discussion and interaction that was enjoyed by the learners. I think the most profound moment was when I looked over a saw a learner, who previously refused to accept pen and paper at the start of the presentation, scrambling to find paper in her purse so that she could take notes.
