Program/Class Schedule

SBLC’s  A (K-1st), B (2nd-3rd), C (4th-5th), D (6th-8th) and E (9th-12th)  level preparation classes are offered year-round. Each academic session is 8-12 weeks long and includes a variety of class times and schedules to accommodate the scheduling needs of our learners. Classes meet between 1-3 times each week and are typically offered in the morning from 9:00-12:00 pm, in the evening from 5:30-8:30 pm, and on Saturdays from 9:00-3:00 pm.

Admission into the National External Diploma Program is available on a rolling basis throughout the year. Participants in this program meet with an SBLC Advisor/Assessor weekly and commit 10-15 hours each week to work independently on web-based assignments.

It is hard to believe that 17 years have passed since we renovated the historic Southern District Police Station into a fully accessible adult learning center! With the passing of time, we have found our building in need of some refurbishments.

With the generous support of many community leaders, we are repairing and replacing 92 windows, 4 roofs, some masonry, and upgrading mechanical systems. Our crews are working diligently and plan to complete the project by the end of September.
