Inclement Weather Policy

Decisions regarding SBLC’s closure due to weather related incidents are informed by the Baltimore City School System.

Learners can take the following steps to determine SBLC|LearningWorks building closing:

  1. Check your local news station
    • If Baltimore City Schools are closed, SBLC|LearningWorks is closed. 
    • If Baltimore City Schools have a two-hour delay, in person classes are canceled, virtual classes are open.
  2. Check SBLC|LearningWorks social media sites. Closings will be announced on all platforms
  3. Check your email and/or text messages for inclement weather updates.
  4. Review learners handbook for inclement weather policy.
