SBLC’s mission is to improve the self-sufficiency of educationally disadvantaged adults by providing functional literacy, life skills training, and career preparation services to Baltimore residents. With a vision to cultivate a wholistic learning environment that prioritizes academics, social and emotional wellness, and workforce development, SBLC continues to strengthen and support adult learners in reaching their goals.
Join us for a special Baltimore Heritage Tour Connection event at SBLC | LearningWorks on April 16, 2025. Led by Barry Blumberg, this private tour will explore the history and impact of SBLC, a community-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering adult learners.
